Police officers South Sulawesi Regional Police arrested 13 of the suspects involved in forced take corpse patient related corona virus (Covid-19) at Makassar City Labuang Baji Hospital. After undergoing rapid test, 3 of them were declared corona virus reactive.
South Sulawesi Police Public Relations Head, Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo said the 13 people were arrested on Friday (26/6).
“Then done rapid test, with the results of 10 non-active and 3 reactive people, “he said in a written statement on Monday (6/29).
He further said that of the ten people, detention had been carried out and 3 reactive people were repatriated to carry out independent isolation.
“For further processing, consider their conditions later,” Ibrahim said.
He said with the arrest of 13 people, the total number of suspects related to the case at Labuang Baji Hospital on June 5 totaled 32 people.
“The results of the development of examining witnesses and the results of the case titles have been named as suspects as many as 32 people,” he said.
National Police Chief Gen. Idham Azis has issued an order via telegram, addressing a number of forced pickup cases related to the body of Covid-19.
The contents of the telegram asked the authorities to cooperate with the referral hospital for handling Covid-19 patients, in order to ascertain the status of patients being treated or dying.
