After several days without the political arena of Cartagena being shaken by any controversy, a few hours ago the Metropolitan Police of Cartagena detained Councilor Gloria Estrada, her husband and another companion while they were traveling in a truck with political advertising by Senator Lidio Garcia.

The hypothesis of his capture would correspond to the crime of possession of narcotics, since the authorities found in the vehicle in which they were traveling a package with, apparently, about a kilo of cocaine that is under investigation.

In addition, the Police found eight million pesos whose origin and weapons with safe conduct are being investigated, but which will be seized to relate it to the case.

Council President
Gloria Estrada was elected, in a plenary session on October 7, 2021, to chair the Board of Directors of the Cartagena Council. On that occasion, they were also appointed: Óscar Marín, as first vice president; and Carolina Lozano, as second vice president.

In the following video you can see how the councilor is transferred by the authorities. In the place, close friends of Estrada, apparently, tried to attack a journalist from RCN Radio who was in the place, with the aim of snatching her cell phone and eliminating the videos obtained.
