The Police Team Traffic Central Netherlands wanted to arrest the driver in Lelystad because of multiple speeding offenses. But the driver took the hare path.
The chase led via the Noordoostpolder to Friesland and ended in Marum. Several police units joined during the chase. On average, the driver drove 189 km per hour.
Continue on foot
Arriving in Marum, the driver continued on foot. With the help of a witness, the suspect could be arrested on the roof of a barn.
The suspect turned out to be driving without a driver’s license for the third time and violating his suspensive conditions.
