Officers arrested three underage suspects on suspicion of involvement in a violent robbery in Den Bosch on Friday evening, the law enforcement. In total, about 25 young people took part in the robbery.
The incident took place at around 11:15 PM. Four friends met a group of about 25 young people. Some of them wore balaclavas and / or face masks.
The four friends perceived the situation as threatening and ran away. Then they were chased by some of the youngsters. They were then pushed to the ground with considerable force.
Even when they were lying on the ground, the youngsters kept kicking and hitting them. Eventually, one of the friends escaped and called the police.
On the spot, the officers gave chase and arrested two suspects. A third suspect was arrested after warning shots were fired. All three suspects come from Vught and are between fifteen and seventeen years old.
The police do not rule out that more arrests will be made.
Similar incident earlier in the evening
Earlier in the evening, four cyclists in Den Bosch were allegedly attacked by a group of about 25 young people. Officers went to report a witness, but found no one on the spot.
Police are considering a possible link between the incident and the violent robbery later in the evening.
