Yonkers police did not say what the reason for the personal dispute was.
Bencosme was assigned to District 42 in the Bronx before the department placed him on modified assignment in early 2023 due to a domestic dispute and stripping him of his gun and shield, a source said.
He is currently assigned to the NYPD Court section.
