Hochheim -Actually unbelievable, but true: On Sunday evening, the highway police had to stop and then arrest a drunk cyclist on the highway (A 3) near the Hochheim district. Several road users informed the police around 8 p.m. because a cyclist with a safety vest was on the A 3 between Raunheim and the Wiesbadener Kreuz. Some had also asked the man about the danger of his driving on a freeway, whereupon the latter is said to have replied that he didn’t care. A patrol from the highway police was able to stop and control the 54-year-old. A breath alcohol test showed a result of over 1.5 per thousand. Therefore, the man and his bike were taken to the office. A doctor then took a blood sample from the unrepentant cyclist at the police station. After the police measures were completed, the man was allowed to continue his journey by train, a police spokesman reported. red
