Police Arrest Artist Rico Valentino Together with Putra Siregar, Both Have Been Suspects

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – South Jakarta Metro Police Investigators also arrested the artist Rico Valentino and a celebrity who is also an entrepreneur who owns the PS Store cellphone outlet, Siregar’s Son.

Both of them are caught in the same case, namely allegations persecution against a person with the initials N at a cafe in the Senopati area, South Jakarta, some time ago.

“Yes, that’s right (arrested with Rico Valentino). We have processed it,” said the South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto in his statement, Tuesday (12/4/2022).

Budhi said that at this time Putra Siregar and Rico Valentino had been named as suspects for alleged abuse.

The two suspects are still being investigated to develop the case.

“Meanwhile, there are two (suspects) but if the process is developing, they will be presented again. They (the two suspects) may have finished drinking, because (the alleged abuse) was early that morning,” said Budhi.

Previously, the arrest of Putra Siregar was confirmed by the Head of Criminal Investigation at the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit when confirmed on Tuesday (12/4/2022).

“Yes (arrested). We are in the process of being investigated,” said Ridwan.

Putra Siregar and R were arrested on Monday (11/4/2022) on suspicion of abuse against the victim with the initials N.

However, Ridwan himself did not explain in detail the chronology of the arrest of Putra Siregar.

According to Ridwan, Putra Siregar is still being questioned by investigators as of Tuesday.

“From yesterday (arrested), the examination is still in progress until today,” said Ridwan.

Meanwhile, N’s attorney, Ahmad Ali Fahmi, explained that the abuse by Putra Siregar against his client occurred in a cafe in the Senopati area on March 2, 2022.

Putra Siregar is suspected of committing mistreatment with his colleague who is a public figure with the initials R.

“Our client was beaten for no reason at around 2 am. I don’t know (the perpetrator) was affected by alcohol or not,” said Fahmi.

Fahmi said that as a result of the beating, the victim suffered facial injuries to his right jaw, presumably due to a blow.

The victim had previously given time to Putra Siregar and his partner to apologize for the beating incident.

However, said Fahmi, Putra Siregar and R did not apologize. The victim then reported the two to the South Jakarta Police on March 11, 2022.

“We waited but didn’t want to apologize. Finally, we reported it to the police. Attached the post-mortem and CCTV footage at the location,” said Fahmi.
