In the US state of Utah, the police have arrested a 9-year-old child because he had shot a family member in the head.

On Friday evening, the rescue service rushed to the city of Tooele, where a 32-year-old man was found seriously wounded.

– He apparently suffered from a gunshot wound to the head, said the constable Colbey Bentley From the Tooele City Police.

The man was rushed to a hospital in Salt Lake City, but died from his injuries. The man has not yet been identified. The name of the child was also not disclosed to the media.

– The investigations led to the arrest of a 9-year-old, who is a family member of the 32-year-old man, Bentley told news agency AFP.

– We are investigating a possible charge of murder.
