Accident case killed a student at the University of Indonesia (UI), Muhammad Hasya Attalah Syaputra (18), in South Jakarta, is under investigation. A team of experts was also involved in the investigation process.

“Later we will invite experts, Gakkum and Propam to know that we have handled this issue according to the SOP. We are not keeping quiet,” South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Kompol Unit Chief Joko Sutriono said when contacted on Saturday (26/11/2022).

The accident involving the victim took place on October 6, 2022. At that moment, the victim was hit by a Pajero car driven by police retireeabbreviation ESBW.

“Motorcycles avoid puddles. So brake suddenly, he shook, along with his body he was hit by a car right in front of the Pajero,” explained Joko.

Police retirement exam

Joko said the investigation process was still ongoing. Retirees from the ESBW police were also questioned.

According to Joko, the retired police officer is still under mandatory reporting until now.

“It was looked into, instead it was obligated to report attendance weekly. Obligatory report on Thursday,” he said.

Mediation of families of victims and accidents

Joko said the investigation into the case was still ongoing. The police also provided mediation opportunities for both sides.

“Victims and their families still want ‘wait sir, I want mediation first’. Mediation, the media has no common ground until the victim’s family agreesTo share there was no police follow-up, even if it was wrong,” he said.

Joko further said that the mediation carried out by the families of the victims and the perpetrators did not find a bright spot. The police will start a case soon.

“It’s just that there was no meeting point between the Pajero driver and the victim’s family. If there is no follow-up this week, I will hold the case tomorrow, Monday,” Joko said.

The victim’s family is disappointed that the police investigation has been slow. Take a look at the next page:
