Victims of the deadly accident at Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta (Central Jakarta), are students. Central Jakarta Traffic Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
Reported from Between, the accident occurred on Saturday (18/2/2023) in the morning, which killed a student. Head of Traffic Unit of the Central Jakarta Police, Kompol Purwanta, explained that the accident started when MR (18), who was riding a motorcycle with police number B-4709-TTM, was walking towards Senen at a red light intersection on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya.
“Arriving at the red light at the Navy Headquarters, he was hit by a Toyota Rush vehicle with police number B-2067-PFV which was traveling from Jalan Dr. Sutomo,” said Kompol Purwanta when asked for confirmation in Jakarta, Saturday.
Puwanta explained that his party was still investigating the cause of the accident. However, it is suspected that one of the drivers ran a red light.
The two vehicles are known to have collided at a red light intersection coming from opposite directions. The victim, MR, suffered a head injury and died at the TKP.
“The victim was rushed to the RSCM mortuary,” he said.
It is known that the driver of the Toyota Rush car is a man with the initials DD (46). He is an entrepreneur who lives on Jalan Kartini, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.
The victim’s motorbike suffered damage in the form of a rupture on the right side of the body. While the car suffered damage to the front bumper.
As previously reported, a motorcyclist died after being involved in an accident at a red light intersection on Jalan Gunung Sahari, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta. The victim died in a collision with a four-wheeled vehicle.
Head of Traffic Unit for Central Jakarta Region Kompol Purwanta said the incident occurred on Saturday (18/2) at around 00.30 WIB. The accident started when the motorcycle with the initials MR was driving from north to south on Jalan Gunung Sahari.
