Police are still hunting for two swindlers pretending to be debt collectors for looting motorbikes on Jalan Kembangan

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Kembangan Police are still hunting for two other perpetrators in a fraudulent act with a debt collector mode on Jalan Kembangan Raya, Kembangan, West Jakarta.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kembangan Police, AKP Ferdo Alfianto, said that currently the police have only arrested two of the four perpetrators.

“We have arrested 4 perpetrators, 2 of them have the initials GHE (27) and TM (26). We are still pursuing the other two perpetrators,” said AKP Ferdo, Sunday (13/2/2022).

Previously, the Kembangan Police Chief, Binsar H Sianturi, confirmed that his party had arrested two perpetrators of debt collector fraud.

“The perpetrators amounted to 4 people and brought 2 motorbikes,” said Binsar.

Binsar explained, initially the victim named Aris (25) crossed Jalan Kembangan Raya using a Kawasaki KLX motorbike.

Suddenly the victim was stopped by four perpetrators. They rode two motorbikes.

“The victim was squeezed and after stopping the perpetrators admitted to leasing and then asked for the victim’s vehicle registration and motorbike,” he said.

The perpetrators managed to get a motorbike and then took the motorbike and took the victim to a quiet place.

There was a commotion when the victim was dropped off in a quiet place, then a buser member crossed a deserted street and approached the commotion.

Seeing that there were police officers, the perpetrators tried to run away. Two of the four perpetrators were arrested and taken to the Kembangan Police.
