Police are looking for witnesses after assault rape – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

Police are investigating an assault rape that took place in the center of Jessheim on Sunday night, the police write on Twitter.

– Around 00.10, night to Sunday, the police received a message that a woman had been raped. It triggered an emergency call from the police who got in touch with the victim. She explains that she had been attacked from behind by an unknown person, who had behaved in such a way that this is to be regarded as a rape, says on-duty lawyer Harald Holmsen to NRK.

He says it is clear to the police that there is talk of a rape. The attack took place at Norlandia Romsaas Kindergarten in Faltavegen.

Now the police want to get in touch with people who were in the center of Jessheim that evening.

Holmsen says that it is especially important for the police to get in touch with a man who aired his dog in Flatavegen in Jessheim during the relevant period.

Ask witnesses to contact

The police also want contact with a woman who was on her way away from the area in the direction of the nightclub Gulating, Holmsen states.

The man the police believe is behind the rape is described as white in the skin with short hair

. He was wearing a dark windbreaker and yellow-brown or beige trousers. It is uncertain what age he is, according to Holmsen.

– Now we want to form a picture of all people who have been in the area. That is why we are going out with this Twitter message now, says Holmsen.

Holmsen says the assaulted woman has been at the abuse clinic, but does not want to say anything more about her condition.

– It is natural to think that this has been a very traumatic experience. When she walks in a downtown area and is attacked from behind in the way she has experienced, Holmsen says.

Tips are received on telephone 48 88 67 01, which is the number of the detective at Lillestrøm.
