Police and ME in Amsterdam to squatted building for eviction | Inland

AT5 reports dozens of police cars in the area. The entire area around the property has been cordoned off.

According to the local broadcaster, the squatters have put a letter in the mailbox of all the neighbors of the building. They call themselves squatters of the anarcha-feminist group Amsterdam. In the letter, in the hands of AT5, they say they squatted the building “because it has been empty for ages while we and many others in Amsterdam urgently need housing. We find it unacceptable that this house is empty while people are homeless or are desperately looking for an affordable home.”

According to the squatters, the property is owned by a large, international investment company.
