Polda Metro Jaya admits that there was maladministration in the determination University of Indonesia (UI) studentsMuhammad Hasya Attalah Syaputra, in an accident case involving retired National Police officer Eko Setio BW. “Maladministration, the meal is in court,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday (9/2/2023).
Trunoyudo said that the ethics trial process against investigators was carried out on Tuesday (6/2) yesterday. However, he has not specified the results and how many investigators are undergoing trial.
Investigator at the Code of Ethics
Previously, Trunoyudo said there was an administrative discrepancy in determination of Hasya as a suspect accident that killed him. This discrepancy was revealed by the team monitoring assistance and evaluation which conducted an in-depth investigative audit of the case.
“Found that there were several administrative procedural discrepancies as stipulated in the Chief of Police Regulation Number 6 of 2019 concerning criminal investigations related to the status determination process and other stages of the case,” said Trunoyudo at a press conference in South Tangerang, Monday (6/2).
Tim monitoring also held a special case led by Kabidkum Polda Metro Jaya. This was done to follow up on these findings to find out whether there were violations of the Polri professional code of ethics (KEPP) committed by investigators.
“A special case led by the Kabidkum discusses administrative procedures and investigative audits by Bidpropam to examine, to find out whether there is a violation of the Polri professional code of ethics (KEPP),” he explained.
Meanwhile, Trunoyudo apologized for this case.
“For this reason, we Polda Metro Jaya apologize for some discrepancies,” he said.
