During a major action in a drug investigation, the police conducted raids in Breda early this morning at a caravan camp, several houses and business premises. Six people have been arrested.
The police think the actions have broken up a gang that was setting up drug labs. At least 250 officers and officials participated in the raids.
A total of four caravans, three houses and three business premises were searched. Police have so far arrested five men and a woman. They are between 28 and 60 years old.
little boys
Police tracked down the gang late last year. Shortly afterwards, in February, the police already rolled up a drug lab in Waterlandkerkje in Zeeland. Four people were arrested, including three Colombians.
“But those were little boys,” a police spokesperson told Broadcasting Brabant. “The big guys who set it up were out of the picture.” In recent months, police have gathered more evidence against the group.
Money and weapons
Investigations will continue throughout the morning. In addition to money and raw materials for drugs, the police also think they will find weapons.
The team assumes that a lot of money has been made with the lab, which may have been productive for six months. Specialists were engaged for the searches.
