Jakarta –
DKI Jakarta Provincial Government plans to write off the assets of 417 buses TransJakarta which are unused and abandoned. This plan also sparked a polemic.
Of the assets of the 417 buses, the sales auction value was around Rp 21.3 billion. These buses come from various brands.
“For the allocation of 417 units consisting of various brands,” said DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Secretary Ismanto at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Commission C meeting, Baru (8/3/2023).
Ismanto explained that the hundreds of TransJakarta buses consisted of various brands, such as Zhongtong, Yutong, Hino, Mercedez, Hino, Hyundai, Komodo, Ankai to Inobus. The buses are fueled by gas (BBG) and diesel.
He said 21 of the 36 units of buses stored at the Pulo Gadung Terminal were not intact because they were the target of looting.
“I had time to operate it, after it was operated it was stored first, there was a process, maybe there was an issue of securing assets, on the other hand there might be an issue of looting, so 21 emerged which we might later clarify further and explain. So that the retrieval process the decision, the parties there are in a clear position for all,” he explained.
Ismanto said the DKI Transportation Agency had submitted a request for the asset write-off of 36 TransJakarta bus units to the Head of the Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) since 2018. However, the application was rejected.
The application was again filed a few years later. Until finally in 2021, BPAD appointed a public appraisal service office (KJPP) to conduct an assessment of the proposed asset write-off of 417 TransJakarta buses.
“BPAD has appointed KJPP to conduct an assessment of the proposed deletion of 417 TransJakarta buses submitted by the Transportation Agency to process the disposal of their assets,” he said.
