The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) gave a recommendation to the Metro Jaya Police to postpone the investigation of Roy Suryo related to the case of posting memes of the Borobudur Temple stupa. The Metro Police confirmed that the investigation into Roy Suryo was still proceeding properly.
“It doesn’t affect it, just asks for protection, right? Later, LPSK will assess whether Roy Suryo is a witness or a victim in the case he experienced? We don’t question it, but the process of investigation and investigation at Polda Metro Jaya is ongoing,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan told reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Thursday (21/7/2022).
Zulpan said it respects efforts Roy Suryo who ask for protection from LPSK. The police asked Roy Suryo to ask for protection from the LPSK.

“We know that LPSK is the Witness and Victim Protection Agency. So our response is just go ahead. That is the right of the person concerned,” said Zulpan.
Zulpan said complaint Roy Suryo going to the LPSK will not affect the investigation of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme case which is currently underway. Investigators are still investigating the case, both Roy Suryo as the reporter and the reported party.
Furthermore, Zulpan said that the investigation process of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme case where Roy Suryo was the reported party was still in progress. Until now Roy Suryo is still a witness.
“The process against Roy Suryo at the Polda Metro Jaya is as a reported party in the case of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme, this is currently being processed by us. Then an examination has been carried out, his status is still as a witness. But investigators are still working in order to complete the completeness of this file,” explained Zulpan .
Asked when Roy Suryo re-examined as the reported party, Zulpan said that investigators will arrange the agenda for the next examination.
“It will be informed later. Investigators will arrange it,” said Zulpan.
