Polda Metro Jaya Reveals Origin of Arrogant Toyota Fortuner Driver’s TNI Service Plates

Polda Metro Jaya explains the origin of service plates TNI used by PWGA, Toyota Fortuner driver arrogant while driving on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

Unit 2 Commander, Resmob Deputy Director, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Anggi Fauzi Hasibuan, said the service plate came from PWGA’s elder brother, a retired TNI officer with the initials T.

“So he is not a member of the TNI. When his elder brother was still active until he retired, he was given the service number plate. Actually, his elder brother used it,” said e when contacted, Wednesday (17/4) .

Based on the results of the investigation, Anggi said that the official plate was used intentionally by the person who committed the crime to avoid the unfair rule that applies to the Eid 2024 homecoming period.

“The suspect’s confession was that his brother gave it to him. He borrowed it, the reason for lending it was, if for example an unequal number or even, he was just using it,” he explained.

“On dates he even used the official number plate but with the condition that he had to get permission from his older brother first,” he said.

However, Anggi said, the service plate number 84337-00 used by the PWGA brother had expired in 2018.

He explained that after his termination, the number plate was for retired TNI Marshal TNI (Ret.) Asep Adang Supriyadi for operational service vehicles as a professor at the Defense University.

“It’s just that even though the service record number is there, someone has to update it afterwards. Well, his elder brother can only … be registered at the TNI Headquarters, he can only use it until 2018. Then in 2019 the service number was whitewashed,” he said.

In this case, PWGA itself is named as a suspect and held under Article 263 of the Criminal Code regarding the violation of documents that has a maximum risk of 6 years in prison. PWGA went viral on social media after the Toyota Fortuner car with TNI service plates he was driving hit a journalist’s vehicle on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) toll road.

In the video from the X account @budakostt, the driver of a Fortuner car with TNI service plates can be seen arguing with another driver. The Fortuner driver even admitted that he was a member of the TNI. However, he later admitted that his older brother was a member of the TNI.

Upon further investigation, the TNI service plate with registration number 84337-00 belonged to Marsda TNI (ret.) Asep Adang Supriyadi. However, the plate was created and then used by the Fortuner driver.

As a result, Asep also reported the use of the service plate to Polda Metro Jaya on Sunday (14/4). The report is registered with number LP/B/2005/IV/2024/SPKT/POLDAMETROJAYA.
