Polda Metro Jaya straightens out the circulating issues with a narrative ‘motorcycle stunt can be ticketed’. Polda Metro Jaya emphasized that his party would not ticket people who were stunted by motorbikes, instead the police were obliged to help them.
“There are no (tickets),” said the Director of Lantas Polda Metro Jaya Brigadier General Sambodo Purnomo Yogo when contacted by reporters, Saturday (9/7/2022).
Sambodo says stut motor indicates a driver is having problems with his vehicle. Police, said Sambodo, should provide assistance, not fines.

“A motorcycle stunt occurs because a motorcycle breaks down or runs out of gas. It means that the community is in trouble, the police should help, not give a ticket,” said Sambodo.
He reiterated that the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya will never issue a ticket to motorists who are driving a vehicle.
“So the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya will not ticket those who stop motorbikes, on the contrary, they must be helped,” said Sambodo.
The ‘motor stud ticket can be ticketed’ narrative circulating on social media. In an upload on social media, it is stated that the ‘stut motor’ violates the rules and can be ticketed with a maximum fine of IDR 250 thousand.
This issue began with a news report quoting a traffic observer, who explained the problem motor studs are not allowed. Stut means to push the motor with the foot with the help of another motor.
The traffic observer said that motorists who stunt their motorbikes can be subject to a fine of Rp. 250 thousand. The observer refers to Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
