Polda Metro Jaya admits that there are procedural inconsistencies in the investigation of cases accident between university students, Hasya Attalah Syahputra (HAS) and retired National Police, AKBP Eko Setio Budi Wahono (ESBW).
This procedure discrepancy was found from the results of the monitoring assistance and evaluation team that conducted an investigative audit of this case.
“Found that there were several administrative procedure discrepancies as stipulated in the Chief of Police Regulation Number 6 of 2019 concerning criminal investigations related to the status determination process and other stages of the case,” Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko told reporters, Monday (6 /2).
These findings were then followed up with a special case title conducted by the Kabidkum and Kabid Propam Polda Metro Jaya.
“A special case led by the Kabidkum discusses administrative procedures and investigative audits by Bid Propam to examine whether there is a violation of the Polri professional code of ethics,” he said.
The police had previously revoked the suspect status of Hasya, a UI student who died in an accident involving retired police AKBP (Purn) Eko Setio Budi Wahono.
“The first is to revoke the decree on the status of the deceased with the product of the decree regarding the revocation of the suspect’s status,” said Trunoyudo.
The police revoked Hasya’s suspect status because there was a discrepancy in administrative procedures in the investigation of the accident that claimed his life.
Trunoyudo said that the police would also rehabilitate Hasya’s good name. He also confirmed that he would carry out an in-depth evaluation of the aftermath of the determination of the suspect Hasya who was the victim of an accident death.
Polda Metro Jaya also asked for the investigation process related to this case. Because, it was found that there was a discrepancy in administrative procedures in the investigation process.
“Conveying an apology for several discrepancies at this stage,” said Trunoyudo.
