Polantas in North Sumatra who beat residents removed!

Deli Serdang Police, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), removed the position of traffic police officer (polantas) Aipad Gonzalves, because hit a citizen to the ground. The action of the police hitting the residents went viral on social media (medsos).

“He has been removed as a member of the Deli Serdang Satlantas Polresta,” said Deli Serdang Police Chief, Kombes Yemi Mandagi as reported by Between, Thursday (14/10/2021).

Yemi said that Aipad Gonzalves is still undergoing investigation by the Deli Serdang Police Propam.

“Currently, they are still undergoing investigations at the Deli Serdang Police Propam,” he said.

Yemi explained that the beating occurred on Wednesday (13/10), on Jalan Cemara, Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency.

At that time there was a misunderstanding between Aipad Gonzalves and a motorcycle rider named Andi Gultom, because the driver had violated traffic rules.

As a result of this difference of understanding, the Aipad Gonzalves immediately beat the victim. The action later went viral on social media.

“Although the motorcyclist is at fault, it is not permissible for all members of the Police to beat them,” he said.
