Polish President Andrzej Duda expressed his disappointment with Germany when he was interviewed by the German newspaper Die Welt on Tuesday (24/5/2022) on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“Poland has weakened” its own military potential by using its own capacity to supply Kiev with a large number of tanks,” Duda said.

He added, “Warsaw expects support from NATO, and Berlin in particular.”

“Most Polish tanks are German-made Leopards. Berlin previously promised to replace military hardware sent to Ukraine,” he said.

“Germany promised to send us these tanks. You didn’t keep that promise. And, to be honest, we are very disappointed about this,” Duda told the newspaper.
