The English were a clear favorite in the duel with Andorra. The coach, Gareth Southgate, gave most of the key players a rest, having in view the Wednesday meeting at the PGE Narodowy with the Polish national team. On the bench, among others, Harry Kane, Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, or Harry Maguire. In the absence of the biggest stars, Jesse Lingard played the “first fiddle” in the ranks of the European runners-up, scoring two goals. In the 72nd minute Harry Kane used a penalty kick, who checked in 10 minutes earlier on the pitch. Bukayo Saka decided the result of the game.
The eyes of many Polish fans were turned to the Elbasan Arena, where two direct competitors of Poles were facing each other: the national teams of Albania and Hungary. The goalless result lasted a long time. The goal of the victory for the hosts, however, was scored in the 87th minute by Armando Broja.
Thus, the representation of Albania jumped in the table of group I of the White-Reds and with the achievement of nine points it is in the second place.
