Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Border Guard Service Tomasz Praga appealed to the Ministry of National Defense of the country with a request to send a thousand soldiers to the border with Belarus. Maciej Wosik, Deputy Minister of the Interior of Poland, spoke about this.
“We have another phase of the hybrid war. <…> Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Border Service Tomasz Praha asked to send a thousand soldiers to the Polish-Belarusian border,” said Maciej Wosik. His words are quoted by Polish agency PAP.
The situation on the border with Poland and Belarus escalated after the arrival of fighters from the Wagner PMC in the country. The latter expressed a desire to move towards Polish border. Warsaw sent Minsk a document accusing it of violating borders because of two Belarusian helicopters.
