Poland is not currently transferring any weapons of its production to Ukraine, because it is busy re-equipping its own army with the “most modern weapons.” Said this in Polsat interview prime minister Mateusz Moravecki.
When asked whether Poland would continue to send military aid to Ukraine, Morawiecki said that Poland currently does not provide Ukraine with any weapons of its own production, because now “we are arming ourselves with the most modern weapons.”
“If you intend to defend yourself, you must have something to defend yourself with – we adhere to this principle, so we made maximum orders,” the prime minister replied.
However, at the same time, Poland “definitely will not risk the security of Ukraine, the transfer of weapons from other allies is still taking place and has not been disrupted in any way,” Morawiecki emphasized,
“Our hub in Rzeszow, in agreement with the Americans and NATO, is still working and will continue to work,” the prime minister assured.
Morawiecki also said in the interview that he asked the Ukrainian authorities to refrain from harsh rhetoric in connection with the grain controversy, as this plays into the hands of the Kremlin.
“You can see how Russian trolls picked up this topic,” he said.
Polish-made weapons, information about the transfer of which to Ukraine as military aid became public, included the Crab self-propelled guns, Perun MANPADS and Grot machine guns.
