The Polish government purchased American tanks. The cost of the deal is $4.74 billion. The first 28 armored fighting vehicles will arrive in Poland at the end of 2022.
The premiere batch of tanks will be designed to organize the educational process of the Polish army. According to the defense minister, the Abrams will send the 18th Mechanized Division to eastern Poland. Completion of deliveries is scheduled for 2026.
M1 Abrams is the main American battle tank. It has been manufactured at the plant in Lima, Ohio for over 40 years.
