Poland should receive the first vaccines against a new type of coronavirus infection in January.
It is planned to start vaccination of the population in Poland immediately after receiving vaccines against coronavirus infection, said Vice Minister of Health of Poland Waldemar Krasko. About this on Wednesday, December 9 reports “Polish Radio”.
He noted that the exact date of receipt of vaccines will depend on the date of their approval by the European Medicines Agency and on the supply of manufacturers.
“At the so-called zero stage, it is necessary to vaccinate primarily medical personnel,” said Krasko.
He added that the older population was also among the first to be vaccinated. Vaccines will be available at clinics, hospitals and mobile vaccination points.
The Polish Ministry of Health is convinced that the vaccines will be safe.
“All the procedures that must be followed during vaccine production in terms of their effectiveness, safety and quality have been preserved. All three clinical trials of the vaccine were also passed. These vaccines went through the same procedure as the flu shots,” added Paint.
However, he warns that the rule of wearing masks in public places will continue. In addition, vaccinated people will have to comply with it.
Recall that WHO opposes mandatory COVID vaccination… The countries of the world must work to increase confidence in vaccination, the organization stressed.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov asked the US for a COVID vaccine… The minister argued his request with “super difficult conditions” in which Ukraine finds itself due to the Russian aggression in the Donbass.
