Ukraine’s supply of resources could be undermined
In the near future, all efforts to supply the armed forces of Ukraine with Western equipment may be undermined by two countries – Poland and Germany.
This is due to the constant quarrels between the Germans and the Poles over missiles, tanks and spare parts, which recently reached a new level, reports Bloomberg.
Warsaw again began to actively attack Brussels, saying that the main part of the credit for sending Leopard 2 tanks to Kiev belongs precisely to them, while the Germans are not in a hurry to fulfill their obligations.
According to them, Germany refuses to supply spare parts for the military equipment, which makes it difficult to hand over old versions of the Leopard to the Ukrainian side.
“The main responsibility lies with Germany, the main producer of these tanks,” says Andrzej Duda.
Sources say that Germany is only interested in competing with Poland for the status of the most active European helper of Ukraine in the conflict. Against this backdrop, old grievances over energy policy and reparations are also resurfacing between countries.
At the same time, the Germans believe that all the claims of the Poles are related to the election campaign in the republic and there are currently no serious grounds for a split in the EU.
However, the journalists note that if the problems between Poland and Germany continue to grow, all attempts to supply Ukraine with the necessary resources could be undermined.
