Pavlos Polakis spoke about the “painful process” which, however, initiates the procedures for the election of the new leader in SYRIZA-PS. “I declared my availability for the next day and expressed an overall program framework that can form the core of a political proposal the next day with the aim of overthrowing Mitsotakis’ neoliberal government in a short period of time”, said P. Polakis leaving the meeting of the Central Committee and at the same time, he called on the members and friends to “contribute” so that the procedures proceed “coordinated” and “united”, “without extreme expressions”.
“The left knows how to talk”, he underlined and pledged that whatever the result, he will remain in SYRIZA and support his perspective, while when asked about whether Stefanos Kasselakis will be a candidate, he said: “if he wants to, why No”.
