On Friday afternoon, around 5:20 p.m., a total of four vehicles drove on the B475 (Oestinghauser Landstraße) from Soest in the direction of Lippetal-Oestinghausen. At the end of the town of Lühringsen, the three following vehicles started to overtake the first vehicle, which was moving more slowly. During this overtaking manoeuvre, a 26-year-old woman from Möhnesee, who was driving her Skoda car, apparently did not notice that there was already a Chevrolet Camaro next to her vehicle. Its 46-year-old driver from Hamm swerved his vehicle to the left to avoid a collision with the Skoda. He lost control of the vehicle, drove through a ditch and collided with a tree. The hammer was slightly injured. The alarmed rescue service took over the care of the injured person on site and then took him to a hospital. The heavily damaged vehicle was recovered and towed away by a tow truck. Since there was obviously no valid insurance for the Camaro and technical defects were suspected, the vehicle was seized. (AG)
