1. Apartment fire – Dietzenbach
For reasons that are not yet known, there was a fire on Sunday evening around 10:25 p.m. in an apartment on the first floor of a four-storey apartment building on Ringelnatz-Strasse. The alarmed Dietzenbach fire brigade managed to save a 90-year-old woman from the affected apartment in good time before it caught fire. The elderly lady suffered smoke inhalation and second degree burns which are now being treated at a clinic. Another five people in the house were brought out unharmed by the fire brigade. During the extinguishing work, the residents of the house were looked after in a bus by the Rödermark fire brigade. The fire apartment is uninhabitable, the damage is estimated at around 150,000 euros. All other residents were ultimately able to return to their apartments. The fire brigade’s response ended at 11:50 p.m. The police has started investigation.
