1. Mirror against mirror: search for red BMW – B44 / Neu-Isenburg
(lei) After a traffic accident on Thursday on the federal highway 44 near Neu-Isenburg, the escape investigators are looking for a red BMW 1 Series, which is said to have caused the accident. The driver was heading south at around 3:30 p.m. when he or she apparently got slightly into the opposite lane, where a 56-year-old was driving her gray Corsa. The exterior mirrors of both cars touched, resulting in damage of a good 2,500 euros to the Opel (the mirror also damaged the driver’s door). The person who caused the accident just kept driving. Shortly after 1 p.m., several people reported a fight among several people in the area of the intersection of Darmstädter Straße and Dieburger Straße. 2. Burglary in the bakery: Information about the trio of perpetrators requested – Bruchköbel
(lei) Apparently they weren’t interested in the baked goods, but they were interested in cash: three burglars broke into a bakery on Bruno-Dreßler-Straße early on Friday morning and stole cash. Between 1:30 a.m. and 1:50 a.m., the trio entered the property’s storage room through a window of a roller door. There they levered open a fire door that leads to the rest of the office using brute force. All rooms were searched for valuables. Ultimately, they fled with stolen cash through an emergency exit door. According to initial information, there were three male perpetrators. 3. Missing 12-year-old is back – Hammersbach
(lei) The 12-year-old from Hammersbach, who has been wanted since June 29, 2022 (we reported), was found safe and sound by the police in Duisburg. The search for her is hereby withdrawn.
4. Hit and run in the parking lot – Wächtersbach
(jm) Within twenty minutes on Wednesday afternoon, a hit-and-run occurred in the parking lot next to a supermarket on Bahnhofstrasse, in which a parked Ford was hit. Between 1:00 p.m. and 1:20 p.m., an unknown driver apparently drove into the gray focus while parking or leaving and then made off. The damage caused is estimated at around 1,200 euros. 5. Dispute using pepper spray and knife – Hasselroth/Gondsroth
(lei) For a 34-year-old, this incident on Thursday evening should still have a legal aftermath: the man was around 7 p.m. in front of a residential building on Pfeiffersahl Street and got into an argument there with a 44-year-old. In this context, he is said to have taken a kitchen knife out of his pocket and held it in front of him. A 38-year-old who hurried over was able to take the knife from the 34-year-old, after which he pulled out a pepper spray and sprayed the 38-year-old and the 44-year-old with it – both suffered irritation on the skin and face. This item could also be taken from him. The police, who were called, temporarily arrested the attacker and took him to the police station. Since he was under the influence of alcohol, he had to endure an ordered blood test; he was then released again. The knife and pepper spray were seized. The police in Gelnhausen are now looking for witnesses who observed the course of events and ask that they be contacted on 06051 827-0.
