Man armed with ax arrested – Hanau/Groß-Auheim
(as) A man armed with an ax prompted a police operation on Wednesday evening. At around 6:20 p.m., a man was reported to the police who had boarded a bus with an ax on John-F.-Kennedy-Strasse and was shouting loudly. The police, who were immediately alerted, managed to surround the person leaving the bus on Auheimer Strasse in front of the train station. This prevented uninvolved third parties from being endangered. Around 8 p.m., the 37-year-old was arrested there by special police forces. The person was not injured when the police attacked him.
