1st control for road safety – result shows necessity – Offenbach
(aa) Six drivers who were driving on federal highway 448 between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday were obviously under the influence of drugs. Among them, police officers stopped a 36-year-old Nissan driver from Neu-Isenburg at around 7:20 a.m. during a traffic check on Bieberer Straße/Buswendeschleife/Stadion. At around 7:50 a.m., police station forces, supported by officers from the Hessian riot police, checked a 20-year-old Mercedes driver from Darmstadt. Shortly before 12 a.m., a 21-year-old was driving a Golf, with the man from the Hohenlohe district obviously having ingested drugs and alcohol. In addition, the police stopped three drivers without a valid driver’s license and one for violating the Motor Vehicle Tax Act. (fg) A 49-year-old woman in her blue VW T-Roc is said to have disregarded three red phases of traffic lights on Monday evening when driving from the Ring Center in Offenbach in the direction of Mühlheim. The police are now investigating the danger to road traffic and are looking for witnesses and possible victims. At around 7.45 p.m., a woman made an emergency call to the operations center of the police headquarters in Southeast Hesse and stated that a VW driver had just run over a red traffic light on the Odenwaldring in the area of the ring center without braking. 1. Criminal complaint for insult – Hanau/downtown
(fg) Hanau police officers filed a criminal complaint for insults on Monday evening near a supermarket on Nordstrasse. A 27-year-old from Hanau had previously informed the police and said that he had been racially insulted by a cyclist. In addition, the cyclist tried to step in the direction of the 27-year-old’s dog on the sidewalk near the castle park. 2. Search for witnesses: Unknown person suddenly approached Maintaler – Maintal/Bischofsheim
(fg) At the “Taunusstrasse” bus stop in Bischofsheim, there was a physical injury on Monday evening around 7.10 p.m., which is why the police are now looking for a man around 30 years old with bad teeth and short-shaven hair. The stranger got out at the bus stop together with a 57-year-old Maintaler when the attack suddenly came. Shortly after getting out, the man wearing a black tank top poured a drink in the Maintaler’s face and hit his ear with his fist. The victim sustained minor injuries. The attacker, who was wearing dark sweatpants, then made off. Third party involved in the accident fled: wanted silver Mercedes with GN license plate – Gelnhausen

Both the 31-year-old and the son sustained minor injuries. According to initial findings, the cyclist was on Sudetenstraße at around 5:30 p.m. and intended to turn left onto Eisenbahnstraße. A Mercedes driver apparently overlooked the right-of-way cyclist and drove on without stopping. The 31-year-old then initiated an emergency stop to avoid a collision. As a result, there was a fall. Residents and witnesses to the incident are asked to call the escape investigators on 06183 91155-0.
4. Motorcyclist had a fatal accident – Gründau/Niedermittlau
(fg) A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Monday evening on district road 903 between Gründau-Rothenbergen and Niedermittlau. For reasons that have not yet been clarified, a 32-year-old Harley driver who was heading towards Rothenbergen lost control of his motorcycle shortly before 7 p.m. in a right-hand bend and crashed head-on into an oncoming VW Golf. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. The 38-year-old VW driver suffered minor injuries. An expert was commissioned to clarify the course of the accident. The police helicopter was also used to produce overview photos of the scene of the accident. The damage caused to the two vehicles is estimated at around 30,000 euros. Around 11:30 p.m., the district road was passable again after it had been completely cleared and cleaned.
