An 18-year-old intensive offender from Sierra Leone was brought before a judge this afternoon. He issued the arrest warrant requested by the public prosecutor. The man is now in custody.
Most recently, he committed a robbery yesterday evening around 9:50 p.m. at the bus stop in front of the town hall. He is said to have first pulled the headphones out of the ears of a 17-year-old German who was sitting on a bench at the stop and then stole other electronics. When the 17-year-old grabbed his things again, the accused hit him. The victim’s glasses were damaged. The material damage amounts to around 400 euros.
While one report was being recorded on site by the emergency services, a 17-year-old teenager came forward. The German woman was sexually harassed by the 18-year-old while she was trying to help the victim of the robbery at the bus stop.
The 18-year-old was initially provisionally arrested in the evening after consultation with the public prosecutor. Today he is going to the prison.
In October alone he committed at least 23 crimes in which the Neubrandenburg police were called into action. In September there were at least eleven cases known to the police. These include a number of thefts and resistance to police officers as well as physical injuries and trespassing.
