POL-NB: Call for witnesses after a construction trailer fire in Stralsund

On October 27th, 2024, around 6:30 p.m. there was a fire in a construction trailer in Stralsund in the area of ​​Vogelwiese and An den Bleichen (Kniepervorstadt). Shortly after the report was received by the operations control center of the Neubrandenburg police headquarters, the Stralsund professional fire brigade and volunteer fire brigade arrived with a total of 12 comrades to initiate the extinguishing measures. At this point, however, the construction trailer was already burning to its full extent and was completely destroyed by the fire. There was material damage amounting to approximately 10,000 euros. No people were injured. After extinguishing work was completed, the criminal police began investigating the cause of the fire with the help of a fire investigator. An investigation was initiated on suspicion of arson. In this context, the police are calling on witnesses who observed anything unusual at the crime scene or in the nearby area during the specified period of the crime to contact the Stralsund police station on 03831/28900 or on the Internet www.polizei.mvnet.de to report.
