(wie) In the night from Monday to Tuesday, strangers broke into an apartment in Limburg and injured a resident by hitting her head. The police were called to “In der Schwarzerde” street at around 2:50 a.m. Two men broke into an apartment there and ransacked cupboards and drawers in the rooms. The burglars found the couple in the residents’ bedroom. The woman was hit in the head and injured. The perpetrators then fled the apartment with their stolen goods, a purse. The police were called and searched the apartment to ensure that no perpetrators were inside. The injured woman was treated by paramedics. The criminal police have taken over the investigation and are asking for information on 06431/9140-0.
2. Drunk truck driver wants to pick up a load in Beselich, Beselich, Hans-Harald-Grebe-Straße, Monday, May 30, 2022, 11:00 a.m
(as) A truck driver drove into a company premises on Monday to load, although he was very drunk. Employees of a company on Hans-Harald-Grebe-Strasse called the police at around 11:00 a.m. because they had clearly established that a 29-year-old truck driver had obviously drunk and driven onto the company premises. There he had wanted to pick up cargo. The patrol checked the man from Belarus and carried out a breath alcohol test. The result was extremely high at over 3.5 per mille. The 29-year-old was arrested and had to endure a blood test. After the police measures were completed, he was allowed to sleep off his intoxication in the driver’s cab of the truck. However, the police kept the key to the truck.
3. Without a driver’s license but with drugs in the blood, Elz, district, Monday, May 30th, 2022, 3:00 p.m
(wie) On Monday afternoon, the police near Elz caught a motor scooter driver who was driving without a license but with drugs in his blood. During a patrol, officers from the Limburg police observed a motor scooter on a dirt road along the A3, which apparently had an old insurance license plate that was no longer valid. During the subsequent check, the officers found that the 23-year-old driver did not have a driver’s license. There were also obvious signs of drug use. A drug test confirmed the suspicion. The 23-year-old driver was arrested and had to endure a blood test. After the police measures were completed, the man was allowed to go on his way again.
