Haiger-Six Heroes: Scooter at the DGH disappeared –

At the weekend, scooter thieves struck at the DGH on Sechsheldener Straße. Between Saturday (04/30/2022), around 11:00 p.m. and Sunday morning (05/01/2022), around 7:00 a.m., unknown thieves grabbed a black Piaggio scooter parked there. The insurance plates “951LZH” were attached to the scooter. The Dillenburg police will receive information about the perpetrators or the whereabouts of the scooter on Tel.: (02771) 9070.

Dillenburg-Niederscheld: bridge railing damaged and fled –

After a fleeing accident driver damaged the railing of the bridge over the Scheldt, the traffic accident investigator from the Dillenburg police asked for help. The fugitive touched the railing and caused damage of around 1,000 euros. The police officers who recorded the accident discovered white paint and white plastic parts of the accident car. Mittenaar-Bicken: drug driving without a license –

A 42-year-old Benz driver was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and driving without the required driver’s license. A patrol by the Herborn police stopped the Mittenaarer on Sunday evening (May 1st, 2022) with his Mercedes on the main street. Reaction and concentration tests confirmed the suspicion that the 42-year-old was under the influence of drugs. In addition, the police determined that he is currently not in possession of a driver’s license. A doctor took a blood sample from the Mittenaarer at the Herborn station.

Wetzlar-Dalheim: Cars burn in Albertstrasse –

Early on Saturday morning (April 30th, 2022), a resident of Albertstrasse alerted the fire brigade, rescue workers and police. At around 2:30 a.m., the 44-year-old driver of an Opel noticed that a fire had broken out in the engine compartment. He stopped and informed a friend who lived on Albertstrasse. While both tried to extinguish the fire, Giessen collapsed unconscious. His friend pulled him away from the vehicle. An ambulance crew resuscitated the 44-year-old and took him to the Wetzlar hospital. The flames from the Opel struck a parked Mercedes Benz. The Wetzlar fire brigade extinguished the fire. A sign and a roller shutter were affected by the heat. Information on the extent of the damage cannot be given at the moment. The police are currently assuming that the fire was caused by a technical defect in the vehicle.

Wetzlar: Stolen at the tennis court –

Brazen thieves struck on Friday afternoon (04/29/2022) in the parking lot of the tennis courts in Bodenfeld. A gray VW Polo was parked there between 1:45 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. The perpetrators opened the car and grabbed a wallet. Customer cards, cash and documents fell into their hands. Wetzlar-Niedergirmes: Transporter painted with felt pen –

Unknown perpetrators immortalized themselves on a tailgate and the passenger window of a white Ford Transit. The van was parked on the hard shoulder of Hans-Breuer-Strasse, at number 6. The hacks were probably using a black permanent marker. The property damage is estimated at 100 euros. Last weekend, police officers from Wetzlar and Herborn pulled one and three alcohol drivers out of traffic. Late on Saturday evening (April 30th, 2022), a Herborn police patrol stopped a Seat driver in Ehringshausen. The alcohol test of the 51-year-old from Wetzlar brought it to a value of 1.42 per mille. A few hours later (May 1, 2022), around 2:20 a.m., Wetzlar police officers checked an Opel driver in Langgasse. Here, the clear alcohol flag of the 49-year-old from Wetzlar blew towards the colleagues. The display of the test device showed a value of 2.39 per mil. On Sunday afternoon (May 1st, 2022) the 55-year-old driver of a Kia was caught in the street “Hörnsheimer Eck”. At around 4:45 p.m., the Wetzlar woman’s alcohol test showed a blood alcohol content of 1.77. Finally, a Wetzlar police patrol caught a person driving in alcohol in Schöffengrund-Niederwetz. The Mazda driver became the focus of the patrol around 8:45 p.m. on Oberlandstrasse. In this case, too, the police officers noticed the clear alcohol flag of the 34-year-old from Wetzlar. He blew 1.61 per thousand. The police officers ordered blood tests, which were carried out by doctors at the Herborn and Wetzlar police stations. In addition, the vigilantes secured the driving licenses of the alcohol drivers. These are now facing criminal proceedings for drunk driving.

Hüttenberg-Hochelheim: Pedelec stolen –

Unknown perpetrators stole a pedelec on Wetzlarer Strasse on Sunday afternoon (May 1st, 2022). Between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., the thieves grabbed the yellow Fuji e-bike and made off with the bike, which cost around 3,600 euros. Waldsolms: fell drunk with a scooter –

On Sunday evening (May 1st, 2022) a 28-year-old scooter driver ended up in a ditch. The biker from Schöffengrund was on the road between Kröffelbach and Oberquembach at around 7.30 p.m. He lost control of his Peugeot in a left-hand bend and went off the road to the right. The driver of the accident suffered minor injuries, an ambulance crew took over the first aid and transported him to a Gießen hospital. There he had to undergo a blood test. The Wetzlar police are investigating drunk driving.
