The Hagen police carried out a search and control day as part of a large-scale operation on Tuesday (05/17/2022). With the aim of combating property and narcotics crime, police officers showed a strong presence and carried out checks throughout the city. They were both uniformed and civilians. They were supported by officials from an operational group. Police officers from the Traffic Directorate were also involved in the operation and kept an eye on road traffic with the aim of consistently prosecuting traffic violations and combating the main causes of accidents. In total, the officers checked 207 people and 178 vehicles. 35 of the vehicles checked had defects and had to be complained about by the police officers. The emergency services punished traffic violations for 147 road users. Five of the people checked were wanted and arrested on warrants. In addition, officers made several seizures. These included stolen property and narcotics. Similar control actions are already being planned. (s)
