Around 4:30 p.m., the police received a report about a man who had been spotted with a knife at Frankfurt Airport between halls A and B. He also threatened people. Police were immediately dispatched to the arrivals level in Terminal 1. In the meantime, the suspicious man had gone to a toilet, in which he initially locked himself and could be held by attentive customs officers. After a change of direction by the police, the man, who was only hesitant to react, was persuaded by the alarmed forces of the raid squad to leave the toilet again. You had told him several times before that you would otherwise use a distance electro-impulse device (DEIG). The 59-year-old man was finally arrested without resistance. The police officers found a knife on him.
The homeless man was brought to the police station for further police measures. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him on suspicion of threats.
