Oberkassel – drunk driver collides with parked vehicles – passenger seriously injured – display and blood test

A 54-year-old man ran over several parked vehicles with his car on Saturday evening. His passenger was seriously injured. A preliminary examination raised suspicions that the man was clearly under the influence of alcohol. A blood sample was taken from him.
After initial investigations, the 54-year-old drove his BMW along Hansaallee in the direction of the city. Lui then lost control of his car in Ria-Thiele-Straße and crashed into a total of four vehicles parked on the side of the road. Its 42-year-old passenger was seriously injured and had to be taken to a clinic for hospital treatment. The driver suspected he might be under the influence of alcohol, a alcohol test confirmed this. The 54-year-old had a blood sample taken. He should also be charged with a road hazard.
