Despite its positioning of more than 25 years in the world entertainment market, the Pokémon franchise relives an unleashed euphoria in its followers and with a giant step it expands in television, cinema, games and everything that has to do with advertising.
A report by the AFP agency on some videos published on social networks, attests that the popularity of these little monsters reaches the limits of the frenzy in the United States, where their followers desperately break boxes of cereals hoping to find these little creatures inspired by insects, plants and mythological creatures; while others form long lines in front of Target stores to buy them.

Faced with this unleashed euphoria, the American chain of stores Target decided to stop the sale of some collectible cards, especially those of Pokémon, as a “precaution”, due to the violent impulse of the customers. According to the specialized site Marketplace, its popularity becomes even greater during the pandemic.
“The safety of our customers and our equipment is our first priority,” the company told AFP in a statement. “As a precaution, we decided to temporarily suspend from May 14 the sale of collectible stickers of (the leagues) MLB, NFL, NBA and Pokémon in our stores,” says the note that states that these items can be purchased online.
