Pokémon Unite, o MOBA de Pokémon, won a launch window on Nintendo Switch and also on mobile devices. Check out the trailer above!
The game will hit Switch in July 2021, and in September, players will be able to play it on their phones and tablets.
Pokémon Unite mixes real-time strategy and team fights with the characters from the franchise. The video above has an animation of the game and also excerpts from the gameplay.
Set on the new island called Aeos, the game puts two teams with five little monsters each to face off in a dispute for points. The goal is to get more points than the enemy team before time runs out.
Pokémon must defeat opponents and also wild Pokémon to collect energy and deliver it to one of the collection points.
The matches take place in different stadiums, which can change the rules and even the number of players.
As in other games of the genre, each game starts with all Pokémon at level 1, which can evolve throughout the game:
Each monster’s play style varies according to its main role: it can be an attacker or more defensively oriented, a support character or even one who is good at everything. You will need to purchase each character separately using in-game coins.
The game will feature customization options for the trainer and also for the little monsters.
The game will feature a battle pass and three types of coins: one paid (gems) and two that can be earned by playing (coins and tickets).
