Bellevue, Wash. — Jan. 9, 2025 — The Pokémon Company International has announced a groundbreaking move for its beloved Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG): the game will now be available in Latin American Spanish for the first time. this historic change begins with the upcoming expansion, Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together, set to launch on March 28, 2025. Subsequent expansions will also be released in Latin American Spanish, marking a notable step in the brand’s commitment to its Latin American fanbase.
This announcement follows the prosperous introduction of Latin American Spanish to Pokémon GO in May 2024. Now, Trainers across Latin America will be able to enjoy the Pokémon TCG in their native language, further deepening their connection to the franchise.
