Pokémon star Rachael Lillis dies after battling breast cancer

Raquel Lilisthe voice actor best known for voicing Misty, Jessie and Jigglypuff in the “Pokémon” franchise, has died… his sister, Laurie Orrconfirmed.

The veteran entertainer passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday night… after battling breast cancer. Laurie, who shared the news on the GoFundMe account set up for her sister’s care, said she couldn’t be by Rachael’s side when she passed away… but assured followers that RL died “painlessly.”

She added… “It was just last week that he started to decline. This was unexpected and we are completely heartbroken. We ask for peace, for now, while his family mourns this loss.”

Rachael’s co-star in “Pokémon” Veronica Taylor —who voiced Ash Ketchum in the standard cartoon—took to Instagram on Monday to pay tribute to the late star.

In a touching message to fans, Veronica shared how their love and support helped Rachael during her battle with cancer.

She continued… “I was lucky enough to know Rachael as a friend. She had boundless kindness and compassion, even to the very end.”
