Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Update: New Features and Bug Fixes

The first part of Zone Zero’s Hidden Treasures is here, and while Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players will be enjoying Teal Mask today, there’s a ton of new updates added for those who haven’t gotten the DLC yet.

ason the nintendo websiteAccording to one article, some handy new features have been added that will appear whether or not you purchase Zone Zero Hidden Treasures. There are also some bug fixes which will hopefully make the game perform a little better.

Check out the full list of features and fixes below:

Newly added features

You can now lock the minimap that appears when out in the field so that up is always north. You can do this by pressing the right stick twice while opening the Maps app to select app and mini-map lock settings.
Camera settings have been added to the options menu. These settings allow you to adjust how your camera works when you’re out and about.
We’ve added a feature that allows you to signal a Pokémon accompanying you in the field to stop and wait where it is. To signal this, press the left stick.
You can now take photos by pressing the A button in the Camera app.
You can now play music by pressing the ZL button or ZR button while the camera app is open. You may find Pokémon keeping you company in the wild, and those around you reacting to the music.
When using Alliance Circles, trainers can now share photos they take using the camera app during a Alliance Circle session with the friends they play with.
We’ve added a feature to the TM Machine that allows you to filter the moves your Pokémon can learn. By interacting with the TM machine and selecting the option to filter learnable moves, you will be able to display only TMs that contain moves that a specific Pokémon can learn.

Bug fixes and feature adjustments

Fixed incorrect descriptive text for the Infinity Blade, Dire Claws, and Stone Ax moves. The descriptions of these moves previously included the words “designed to gain critical hits,” but these moves did not increase the critical hit chance of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. This wording has been removed from these instructions.
We fixed a bug where item finder markers would not be applied to Pokémon even if the conditions were met.
Wild Pokémon with Titan Marks will now reappear on the battlefield after a certain amount of time if defeated.
We’ve made adjustments to how Pokémon icons appear in boxes.
Additional selected bug fixes have been implemented.
