Pokémon Purple and Scarlet, at the top of the games thanks to its novelties

The new and long-awaited installments of the Pokémon saga; Pokémon Purple and Scarlet, have been crowned as one of the most revolutionary games of this saga for Nintendo, with innovations such as the transition to an open world, the ability to create your own adventure, new creatures and a much deeper storyline, as well as being inspired by the Iberian Peninsula.

Now, Pokémon Purple and Scarlet offer a unique universe, even if the game gives clues about the most appropriate order to solve the objectives, This new format allows the player to switch between missions and locations at will., creating your own pokémon adventure. However, the saga had already started this transition to the open world in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, with explorable open spaces.

To fight against wild Pokémon it is enough for the protagonist to collide with one of them, which can hide in the bush or even rush to attack.

Something that is also very useful for the player is the large number of potions, antidotes, and Poké Balls scattered throughout Paldea. The vast majority are simply found on the forest floor and trails and can be used in battles against any Pokémon or trainer.. Similarly, Pokémon stores have competition items that unlock special abilities that are significant to battles, such as Chosen Ribbon that increases Attack by 50 percent.

But the definitive novelty, at least in terms of combat, is teracrystalization. This is a unique phenomenon that allows Pokémon to change types. In other words, a plant-type Pokémon becomes tera-type, which can be any other type (water, dragon, fairy, steel…) and is only revealed when the Pokémon “teracrystallizes”. This is to power up moves of the same type as the tera-type.

Among all the thousands of pokémon that inhabit Paldea, there are two new ones that evoke Spain. They are Smoliv, a normal olive and grass-type pokémon, which looks like an olive, and Lechonk, a normal-type pig.

The adventure in Paldea makes the user feel always accompanied and with things to do. However, The game offers local and online multiplayer mode that allows you to play with other users in the same world. In this way, players will be able to experience the adventures together, or continue with the objectives separately, but always in the same world.
