Rumors about Pokémon Legends: ZA suggest that the upcoming title could bring back one of the most beloved features of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, according to a official patent presented by Nintendo.
Although details are scarce, Pokémon Legends: ZA is expected to keep the format entered by Arceus and may possibly integrate some mechanics seen in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple. In the meantime, players are eager for official news, especially regarding the long-awaited tenth generation of the franchise.
One of the most talked about rumors is the possible return of Pokémon mounts, known as “Pokémon Ride”which allowed players to travel by land, air, and sea.
According to the patent, characters in the game would be able to seamlessly switch between different modes of transportation, pointing to a substantial improvement compared to previous installments.
Although the patent does not specify the exact title, everything indicates that this mechanic could be destined for Pokémon Legends: ZA.
The return of mounts in Pokémon Legends: ZA could improve travel across maps
As in Arceus, where we used mounts to explore diverse terrain, this mechanic could return in the new title, but with more polished gameplay. In Arceus, although flying was allowed, height limitations were evident.
Something similar happened in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple, where Koraidon and Miraidon offered greater freedom of flight thanks to later updates, such as the Disco Indigo DLC.
The patent suggests that Nintendo is working on a smoother transition between mountsallowing players to seamlessly switch between air and water navigation, which promises to enhance the exploration experience. If the rumors are true, Pokémon Legends: ZA could elevate this fan-loved feature even further.
