Pokémon GO changes the damage of 7 attacks in Trainer Battles

Pokémon GO changed some attacks and Pokémon in PvP during Season 6. We will show you the news now.

What’s new? The Pokémon GO team has made some changes to the current PvP season. The damage of 7 attacks has been changed. Additionally, certain attacks can now be taught to other Pokémon.

This will affect the rest of the season and lead to some team changes. We show you the changes here in the overview.

Attack changes since January 5

What exactly is changing? To adjust game balance, attack damage has been increased and decreased. In the coach battles that changed as follows:

  • Embers: Fire-type instant attack now deals more damage
  • Krabbhammer – Water-type charge attack now does more damage
  • Karate Strike – Combat-type instant attack now generates more energy
  • Bubbler: Water-type instant attack now does less damage
  • Razor Blade: Grass-type instant attack now does less damage
  • Sky Sweep: Flight-type charge attack now deals less damage
  • Rockfall: Rock-type charge attack now deals less damage
  • Shadowbones – Ghost-type charge attack now does less damage

The following attacks have changed which Pokémon can be taught.

  • Meteorologist (Fire): Vulpix and Vulnona (Kanto) can now learn this fire attack
  • Meteorologist (Ice): Vulpix and Vulnona (Alola) can now learn this ice attack
  • Meteorologist (water): Quaxo can now learn this water attack
  • Ice Chop: Rasaff can now learn this ice attack
  • Ice Beam: Lepumentas can now learn this ice attack
  • Enchanted Ball: Lepumentas can now learn this Phantom Attack
  • Triplet: Porygon2 can now learn this normal attack
  • Clay Shot: Stalobor can now learn this ground-type instant attack

Dates and Rewards: You should know that

Over the course of the next few weeks there are some big start dates for the Super, Hyper and Master leagues.

  • Super League from January 11 at 10 p.m. to January 25 at 10 p.m.
  • Hyperliga (with the Premier Cup) from January 25 at 10 p.m. to February 8 at 10 p.m.
  • Master League (with Premier Cup) from February 8 at 10 p.m. to February 15 at 10 p.m.
  • The 3 Leagues + Premier Cups are available from February 15 at 10 pm to February 22 at 10 pm
  • The Kanto Cup with a 1500 WP cap runs from February 22 at 10:00 PM to March 1 at 10:00 PM.

Rewards:

  • At Rank 19 you will receive a Top Load TM
  • If you are ranked at least 19th at the end of the season, you will also receive a Top InstantTM
  • At Rank 20, you are guaranteed to receive Quabbel, which is available for the first time in Pokémon GO. It also appears as a reward at the highest ranks.

For whom? In November, Niantic announced the biggest update Pokémon GO has ever seen. The cap level was increased to 50 and the PvP was also fundamentally changed. So if you haven’t watched the training battles for a long time, now you can get to know the new system.

Instead of 10 ranks, there are now 24 ranks. In addition to new Pokémon encounters and exclusive rewards, depending on the rank achieved.
