The daily Francilien unveiled this Tuesday a ranking of the most attractive cities for remote work: Poitiers occupies the first place.
Working and living in Paris is not always a panacea. This Tuesday, The Parisian unveils a ranking of cities where it is good to work remotely, and several cities in the Great West are in the top 10.
Poitiers: an ideal setting
The capital of Vienne takes first place in this ranking thanks in particular to its proximity to the capital by train, a low unemployment rate, numerous schools, and a reinforced deployment of fiber optics. The price per square meter also makes it an attractive city for Parisians.
Cholet: sweetness of life
In fourth position, the municipality of Maine-et-Loire reconciles “security and education, while remaining an economically attractive territory”, explains Gildas Chauveau de Vallat, director of a company specializing in employee mobility and quoted in the columns of the daily. A downside, however: the lack of doctors. A problem common to several cities in the Great West.
Niort: natural area
Just behind Cholet, Niort occupies fifth place in the ranking, in particular due to a low unemployment rate and “a significant part of nature”. Still, the town is also faced with a problem of lack of doctors.
Limoges and Le Mans: near Paris
The city of Haute-Vienne ranks ninth among cities where it is good to work remotely. Limoges thus combines “quality of life, good working environment and proximity to Paris”.
This proximity to Paris is reduced to just one hour by train to Le Mans, tenth in this list. The capital of Sarthe is penalized by strong medical desertification and a high unemployment rate, according to the daily.
